The Boreal Defence Placard Adaptor Kit is a robust and intuitive system for using the D19 and D20 placards as a fully scalable chest rig. With thermoplastic reinforced PALS wings, the placard can be scaled up or down depending on user preference. Due to the thermoplastic design of the adaptor and back plate, the weight of equipment is evenly distributed across the users body. The placards attachment to the adaptor is enhanced by using our Enhanced Attachment system which passes into the admin pocket for added security.
Metal D rings on the rear plate enable the minimalist straps to flex with the user for added comfort, mitigating rubbing and hot spots caused by some style chest rigs when used in conjunction with ruck sacks and day packs. Placed neatly behind the placard adaptor is a flat admin pocket which has a removeable zipper insert for quick access. The admin pocket is optimized for carrying maps, compasses, roamers and FMPs.
As noted in the photos, items with a width less than 1" can be secured in the adaptor kit between the stitch lines behind the thermoplastic sheet. This can be used for medical shears or other similarly sized items. Each side of the chest rig has one general utility pocket which has adjustable ride height, optimal for carrying radios and other large pattern equipment.
